Brad Mehldau has become the most interesting Jazz piano player to listen to nowadays.He continues the Bill Evans tradition of playing solos that can stand by themselves as standalone entities-something rare today & to be admired. Love his rendition in 5/8 of "I didn't know what time it was". Check it out.

Lang's light touch makes you think he may very well be Chopin reincarnated... However he also possesses powerful tone as well... but most importantly he manages to surprise the listener with musical expressions & nuances on phrases that are completely new, unique & definitely his..A superb representative of the spectacular new generation of pianists. |
